As I'm sure you may know. Hollywood Studios has opened its very new Toy Story Land!!! This has been a much anticipated add on to a low ride quantity park. Opening June 30th 2018. This land could not have opened at a better time. Hollywood Studios, with the loss of the Great Movie Ride, only had a few featured rides.
Toy Story Land has brought two new Pixar IP rides and a new entrance to the already existing Toy Story Mania. It has also brought a new great dining location and an awesome look in to Andy's back yard.
The Slinky Dog coaster has been the poster child for this new project. Guests get to ride on Slink's back as they zoom around a large coaster that is thrill enough for any family member. The height requirement is 38", so smaller children may not be able to ride. Wait times have been slightly higher than the parks average but are way below the likes of Flights of Passage from Avatar - The World of Pandora in Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Another great addition in this new land is Alien Swirling Saucers. Guest can join Buzz and those adorable little green aliens on a rocket ship spin through space. This is great for younger kids as the height requirement is only 32".
Toy Story Mania is a fan and personal favorite ride. This ride has been at the park for quite some time but has a new entrance. Returning guests would expect to see the line start as they head towards the Buzz and Woody meet and greet but that is no more. The new entrance is to the the left as guests enter the new Toy Story Land Gateway.
Lastly, and when talking food, certainly not last is Woody's Lunch Box. I know my family is planning on having lunch here during our December 2018 trip and the menu looks great! This is a quick service restaurant with prices ranging $14.99 and under. It's american dining is a great addition to the land and has a wide ranging menu. I'm personally planing on a Grilled Three - Cheese Sandwich and a Tomato Basil soup side. It offers breakfast and lunch with other items like a breakfast bowl and a BBQ Brisket Melt for lunch and dinner.
